The purpose of this email is to provide those of you that may be flying to Washington for the reunion with some information and options for transportation to: 1) the Tysons Westpark Hotel from either Dulles or Reagan National Airports; and 2) W-L from the hotel Friday evening and Saturday morning 
 

Transportation to the Hotel from the Airports. 
Option 1  Local Classmate Assistance.  Several local classmates have offered to assist with transportation to/from the airport on Friday and Sunday.  If you would like to pursue this option, please provide your travel itenerary, number of passengers, and cell phone number to (wgwilber@gmail.com) by Tuesday, September 15 and, the Reunion Planning Committee will try to assist you.   Please include your name and "Reunion Travel Assistance" in the subject line of your email.
 
Option 2--Conventional transportation options.  Information to arrange a shuttle or taxi to/from the hotel can be found on the links below.    Dulles and Regan National Airports are about 13 and 15 miles from the hotel, respectively.  Shuttle service is the least expensive of these two options.  Depending on the number of passengers in the shuttle, you might expect the cost to be about $25 one way.   Taxi fares are slightly more expensive.  With assorted fees; you might expect the cost to be about $30 one way.

Option 3--Rental Car. :  Directions to the hotel from Dulles and National Airports are as follows:
 
From Dulles Airport to Tysons Westpark Hotel 
1.  Follow signs to Dulles Access Road  (0.1 mi)
2.  Merge onto Va-267 East (Dulles Toll Road via) using Exits 12, 13, or 14 toward Reston Parkway, Wiehle Ave., or Hunter Mill Road (2.8 mi)
3.  Take Exit 16a (VA-7East) onto Leesburg Pike towards Tysons Corner  (8.5 mi)
4.  Turn Slight Right onto VA-7E Leesburg Pike  (0.5 mi)
5.  Turn Left onto Westpark Dr.  (0.6 mi)
6.  Tysons Best Western Westpark Hotel 8401 Westpark Dr is the 7 story hotel immediately on the right. 
 
 
From Reagan National Airport to Tysons Westpark Hotel 
 1.  Start out going West on Aviation Cir.  (0.0 mi)
2.  Turn Right toward Airport Exit/Washington/I-395  (0.2 mi)
3.  Turn Slight Right onto ramp  (0.1 mi)
4.  Merge onto George Washington Memorial Pkwy N  (8.2 mi)
5.  Take the VA-123 exit toward Chain Bridge/McLean (0.1 mi)
6.  Keep Right at the fork to go on VA-123 S (5.7 mi)
7.  Take the Va-7 E/VA-7W ramp toward Falls Church/Winchester/Reston/Wolf Trap (0.2 mi)
8.  Turn Right onto Va-7 W/Leesburg Pike (0.3 mi)
9.  Turn Slight Right onto Westpark Dr.  
10. Tysons Best Western Westpark Hotel 8401 Westpark Dr is the 7 story hotel immediately on the right. 
 
Carpooling to W-L Friday evening and Saturday morning
We'll use carpooling to help transport people to/from W-L Friday evening and Saturday morning.
If you would like to carpool please respond to this email.  Please send an email to (wgwilber@gmail.com) by Tuesday, September 15 letting us know how many people are in your group that plan to attend the Friday night reception and football game and/or the Saturday morning tour of W-L. 
 
Carpools will plan to leave for the reception Friday evening at 5:15 pm (please meet in the lobby of the hotel)
 
Carpools will plan to leave the hotel for W-L for the tour Saturday morning at 9:15 am (please meet in the lobby of the hotel)
